I took the plunge today and I weighed myself. OUCH!!
My pants keep getting tighter and my work shirts show my muffin top. ENOUGH!!!

I still have some Christmas cookies in my freezer and in my fridge. Way to easy to grab one on the way out the door to work, or to shovel, or to church, or to... well you get the picture.

Time to limit the carbs, OH I love my potatoes!!!

My plan is to weigh myself weekly. And I need to find someone to keep me accountable!

We are getting some major snow!! We don't own a snowblower, BUT our kind neighbor does!! We were outside shoveling and he drove by and asked if he could help. AND he wouldnt take any money for it!!

And there is a blue glow. That happens when we have thunder with the snow. Pretty neat.

Borrowed the last picture from a friend. It wasnt until after it was to dark that I thot to take more pictures. Im so thankful for BenGay!!
Church has been cancelled for tomorrow. I think Ill read a book!! It has been a LONG time since I have done that!!!

Pre Empty Nest

Pre Empty Nest almost again round 2 or is it 3.

My daughter moved out of the house this week. Well, started moving out. And she's just up the street several blocks.
She has never "officially" moved out before. She left for four years of college. Came home for 9 months, and then went to Asia for a year. Then back home for 4 months.

She moved in with her best friend. This move feels more permanent. Shes taking ALL her stuff, and IM TAKING OVER HER ROOM!! (Well, actually my son who is away from college is taking her room and Ill take his) BUT, she wont have a ROOM to call hers anymore.

This is a picture of her spot in the kitchen. A little Mother Hubbard ish!!

Feels scary, exciting, sad, happy, ..... so many emotions all rolled into one.

One son is getting married in July and he will move out, again.
Younger son will home from college this summer, and then go to Arizona for a year.


My goals are on track for 2016.

Ive been getting 8 hours of sleep every night. Sometimes chores arent finished when I go to bed, BUT, Im not getting younger and I want my rest!!!

I did three days of training for my half marathon. I was hoping for three days running and two cross training. Cross training didnt happen. One of my coworkers had a death in her family so I pulled some extra hours so she could have off. BUT, I DID the minimum three days!!!

Lunch every day. Made it every day but one. I now have a box of Cheerios and a quart of milk at work. No more excuses to not eat lunch!!

I haven't decided if Im going to share my weight, or just the ups and downs.
I need to have an official weigh in.

Last year I did not set any goals. I knew I wouldn't have time to work on them, so I didn't even try.

2016 is different.
I started taking charge in December. I didn't want to wait until January to make the traditional resolutions. In December I set the goal to cut back on work at my second job, and to schedule work out time in my schedule.

I did BOTH!!!

For 2016 I would like to set monthly goals.

January's goal is to continue to train for my half marathon in March.
And to have lunch every day. 
Sounds crazy, but some days, I go without lunch and then scarf down all the food I can find at the office at 430. I work strange hours. Some days its 7 AM to 8 PM, sometimes its 10 AM to 8 PM, sometimes 7 AM to 5 PM.  Many days lunch is provided for us. BUT, its often pasta and I cant eat tomatoes. I forget to pack my lunch, so I go without.

For the half marathon: I have a plan, it is printed out, and I want to complete it!
In the past I have always printed plans, but never really followed them step by step. This time, I have a plan and so far, I've followed it!!
For lunch: I NEED TO PACK!!!

Other goals that I will work on and develop in another month:
16 half marathons in 2016.
Sign up for races even when I know I may  be last.
Blog more often.
Eat healthy/Lose weight (need to get more specific on this one)
More sleep
Love myself.
