Lately I've been feeling inadequate, like I don't belong at the gym, or the track? I stumbled across this blog tonight. Have a box of tissues handy!!

Hey, Fat Girl

Yes, you. The one feigning to not see me when we cross paths on the running track. The one not even wearing sports gear, breathing heavy. You’re slow, you breathe hard and your efforts at moving forward make you cringe.

You cling shyly to the furthest corridor, sometimes making larger loops on the gravel ring by the track just so you’re not on it. You sweat so much that your hair is all wet. You rarely stay for more than 20 minutes at a time, and you look exhausted when you leave to go back home.  You never talk to anyone. I’ve got something I’d like to say to you.  The rest of the post...............

  1. So true! When I see people who are overweight at the gym, I am so inspired that they are doing what they need to do to get healthy:) Even more, I know it is harder for them than it is for me and I feel even more amazed!

  2. WOW! Thank you Deb for this. A sleeve for sure was use to wipe these tears. You are an awesome inspiration and even on those days you just don't want too, you do it and I feel so blessed to know you.
    Take care Deb. Blessings!!
