Ready for Summer

Ready for Summer Challenge Week One!!

Starting weight: 190.6
This week I want to lose one pound.

Non Scale Victory: Theres a hill on one of my running routes that I have not been able to conquer. I want to make it to the top without walking!! (This is the road with the snakes.)

Exercise Goal: Tuesday: Body Pump, Body Combat, and three mile run,
Friday: Abs, weight machines, three mile run.
Saturday: Body Combat, three mile run.

Nutritional Goal: Eat two servings of fruit each day, and at least one serving of veggies each day (I HATE VEGGIES!!)

Mini Challenge: Try one new fruit, veggie, or recipe this week. On Tuesday after the gym I will stop at the market and pick up a new to me fruit.

  4. Great goals, I like the one of making that hill! That's doable and will be a great NSV moment for sure. I always giggle on teh I HATE VEGGIES cause I used to be that way too but I find they aren't so bad now that I'm older and a lot of it really is in my mind more than I don't like the flavor. I was trying to explain it to my mom, which never goes well, but I find that it's the texture or idea that I'm actually chomping into them than the taste that I don't like. I ate cooked green peppers again last night in some pepper steak she made. I couldn't do the tomatoes, I really don't like warm tomatoes... that's a flavor/consistency thing, I just think if you are going to eat a tomato in it's whole form (or cut one)and it's not pureed into a sauce or something then it should be cold. Preference I guess:-) Anyways, I'm ok with the green pepper flavor but I don't like the crunch/moosh factor of chomping on them and the skin sometimes being tough or something. Weird I know but I ate most of them in the dish last night, trying to conquer that psychological issue, cause since it's not the flavor I dislike it's in the mind I figure:-) There are so many kinds of veggies out there, you're bound to find some you like:-)

  7. Good luck this week! I hope you're able to run up that hill. The snakes alone would be enough to make me run up that hill and I don't run (yet) :)

  8. I'm not a huge veggies fan either.. Maybe if I spent more time preparing them better it would taste better, but I'm not convinced!

  9. I like that you plan your routine. i don't enjoy purposeful exercise & i know it's a lifestyle change i need to commit to. i'm going to try your approach.
Good luck on challenge this wk!

  11. LOL, No - I mean I'm LITERALLY laughing out loud. Thanks for your comment. Yeah, 6/7 days a week of bootcamp is ambitious for me.... looks to me like you're plan is even more ambitious! Good on ya girl! (That's an aussie saying btw :)

  12. I'm with you girl on the veggies! I just bought a Vitamix blender and have been sneaking spinach, kale, raw carrots and anything else I can find in there to get those in. It's amazing how I don't even taste them in my Shakeology shakes.

  13. OK-now I'm thinking that if that road has snakes you should BE ABLE to get up that hill!! :) Just imagine them crawling around you....

  14. While I do love my veggies, I have a problem eating fruit -- just no motivation to consume any!
Good luck getting up that hill and reaching the rest of your goals :)
