Scale picture:  I cant get my camera to focus this AM> BUT it shows a gain of 2.4.   When I saw MIr posted that we have til Monday this week, my first thot was. YES!! I have 24 hrs to starve that 2.4 lbs back off.  BUT, after mulling it over, I decided NO, that is not what this challenge is about! Its about being honest, to cochallengers and to myself.  Starving off 2.4 lbs is not an honest picture. Altho the gain is not totally honest either.  I did increase my calories for this week. I did start running again, (always makes me hungry) The last three nights I only got 4 hrs of sleep each night. TOM came to vistit yesterday. SO for next week, Im taking my calories back to 1000 to 1200. I will get more sleep.  I wont stop exersizing!

2. Calories: Im staying between 1200 and 1500. This is an increase from 1000 to 1200 that I had been having.

3.Excersize: I did better this week than last week. I restarted my running. I did two 30 minute runs, with some warm up and cool down. Then on Sat. I went on a 9 mile walk. COLD!!! Next time we will wear gloves and earmuffs!!  I found that if Im involved in an exersize challenge, I seem to do better at keeping things moving. SO, I signed up for 10,000 steps a day for the next 5 weeks with Shrinking Jeans,  and some virtual 5ks. For more info, see the side bar.  If anyone knows of others, please let me know.
4. Water. I drank 100 to 125 oz of water/flavored water every execpt Friday!! I love to drink me some water!!

5. Book. Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst:  I kinda lost my 'want to'.  This weekend Im working on getting it back.

This Christmas I want to be able to say that I have done my best and see a loss on that scale. I want to learn to control what I eat, when I eat, and why I eat. I want to be in control."

Keep moving

Wake me up

If I go quiet during the holiday weeks. PLEASE wake me up!!


So often when a weight loss blogger goes quiet, its because they are gaining. Or not eating healthy.  Or not exercising.
When Im not doing what Im supposed to do, Im embarrassed because I fee like a failure.

I dont think about the support Irecieve.  Or the swift kick in the butt I need.

SO, if  I go quiet this holiday season, PLEASE oh PLEASE wake me up!

Christmas Dress Challenge:

WIll someone just give me a gentle shove, and push me over into the 190's?!?!? Yeah, ok, I know, thats my job!!

2. Calories: Im staying between 1000 and 1200.

3.Excersize: This week was absolutley horrid. Absolutely NO movement! Im getting back to running TODAY after church. Is on the calendar. SO I has to be done!!!
4. Water. I drank 100 to 125 oz of water/flavored water every single day!! I love to drink me some water!! I also enjoy the zero calorie SOBE waters! I dont drink it all the time. But, its a little change once in a while.
They have lots of 0 calorie flavors. I love the Yumberry Pomegranite and the Strawberry Dragonfruit!

no exercise week

This week has been a very frustrating week!! NO exercise, nawda, zip, zilch, zero.

At the Docs office we are going to electronic records. We are still using paper charts. Do I hear,  Flinstone Age!!
This week was a 'mock' live training.  OH THE LONG HOURS!! And the Office Manager goes on vacation. ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!?

The computer for our church CRASHED several weeks ago. And the new one came in on Sat of last week. Tuesday night I had a meeting and was asked to have all my finanacial info reentered and have reports read for the meeting. AARRGGGHHH. Late night again!!

For my 2nd part time job. The Head of my department resigned, and is training her 2nd in command. My part of payroll cannot be completed until hers is entered. Rather than the normal 8 hrs. It took me 17!!!
Now dont get me wrong, I am so thankful to have all three jobs!! I really really truely am!! I know many people who cant find one, let alone three. I am frustrated with myself that I couldnt find one minute to do any form of exersize!!!

So, last night I was away from home.  The room I rented said it had WIFI. WELL, the note on the table said, "Contact xxxxxxxx@XXX.net for the password to connect to the WIFI". WELL, how can I contact MR X at his email address, IF I cant get access to my email on the internet?  SO, needless to say it was a very quiet evening, without internet. I used this quiet time to come up with a plan! I had taken my calendar with me, and pulled it out of my 'go with me eveywhere bag'.  I made and excel spreadsheet of my activities from now to the end of the year. I SCHEDULED my exercise!! NO more weeks to busy to bust my butt!!!

This weeks weigh in 202.0. This is a loss of 0.6 from last week. At first when I weighed in I was 204.6.  So I took off my sweatpants, Still to high. So I took off my sweatshirt, still to high. So I took off my shirt and my glasses!! This is the lowest I could get cause the only thing left to take off was my socks and undies. For some reason, I think if I keep reweighing myself the number will somehow go down. Im sure my scale sleeps and was just waking up!! (all said with sarcasm dripping from every word)

2. Calories: . I was in a Triple Dog Challenge and he supplied menus for us. I found it a bit hard the last two weeks because we didnt have choices, but now that the Challenge is closed Im back on my own. Im going back to Livestrong.com and entering my foods and making my own choices.

3.Excersize: I am working on Brad Gansbergs 10K in 100 days. to his graduate program.  Im finding that this takes more dedication and time. Its not a quick run. I need to make time in my day, or this doesnt get accomplished. Jen had decided to give Friends Make Fitness fun a break for right now.  I hope we pick up it again!! It was fun to compete with other to see who had the most minutes!  I also did Body Pump. I increased my weights and WOW I was sore the next three days! I love this program. In the video the men are all ripped, and they use huge weights. BUT, do not let this discourage you!!! The first time I went, I used only the bar and 1lb weights!!  I love this program, and I cant wait til the gym gets more of his workouts!!

4. Water. I drank 100 to 125 oz of water/flavored water every single day.  I love propel and Crystal LIght flavorings for those times when I just dont want plain ole water. My new goal for this coming week is to go one week without Diet Coke. I LOVE DIet Coke. I only drink 3 or 4 cans a week. BUT, Im going to try to go one week to see if I can abstain.


5. Book. Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst. This week I was reminded that food is like a drug to me!! Im addicted!  This post says it better than I ever could.

6. Bloggy Love..... Im finding a hard time making it around to everyones blog. I will try to do better this week!  When I first started blogging I grabbed onto as many blogs as I could and soaked up tons of info. I follow way to many blogs!! I read thru Google Reader, so Im able to set up folders for the challenges and for favorites. Now I have to get up the gumption to delete some! Why am I so afraid Ill miss something if I delete??!?!

7. If Im going to lose my 15 lbs I have to get my rear in gear!!! Lets go Deb!! Reach deep and get back in touch with that 'I want to' attittude!

This weeks Fitness Challenges

Brad Gansbergs 10K  in 100 Days.  I finished the 5K and am now trying to complete the 10K training.  This week there was a long run of 45 minutes. When I openned the pdf file and saw that day, I swore, and cussed, and moped, and whined!!! (not usually me).  And I convinced myself there was no way I would be able to do that so soon after the 5K run.

WRONG!!!!!!! Yesterday, I did that 45 minute run, and I survived!!!

Silly me!! Mental, mental mental!!!


I also entered a challege at the gym. 
This is a fundraiser for the tri team.  In February they have a tri comptetion at the gym.  You run for 15 mins, row for 15 mins, and bike for 15 mins.  The winners get something. (Ive never competed before so I really dont know the details)

As a lead up to the tri competion fundraiser, the gym is sponsoring three months of  training inspiration.  For the month of November, you run for 15 minutes at a comfortable safe pace.  For me it was 4.4 for a total of 1.1 miles

Then at the end of the month you run again for 15 minutes and if you improve by 15% you are entered into a drawing for a free massage.
