Today a dear friend passed away.  He was taken to the hospital yesterday, unresponsive. He never 'woke' up.  The kept him 'alive' on the vent until all his children could come and say goodbye.

He was only 50 years old! Way to young to die. Ten years ago he found a lump on his arm and his chest. He had cancer. A cancer that only effects children. They didnt know how to treat him. So much guessing, experiments.

He lost his battle with life on this earth, but he is rejoicing in heaven! What a glorious sight that must have been as a generous,  faithful, passionate, kind, gentle pastor entered heavens gates.

Over the next two days we will celebrate his life.  Laugh, cry, Hug, and rejoice for his body is now healed, and he is no longer in pain.

If you are the praying type, he leaves behind a wife, four daughters (age 24 to 15) and one son (age 13).

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, Deb. ((HUGS)) His wife and kids will, definitely, be in my prayers.

  2. So sorry for your loss Deb. Thinking of you!

  3. Praying for your friends and all who will miss him. So sorry for your loss! Please take care and do celebrate his life!

  4. Accept my condolences. I lost my 44 year old nephew in July. He went in for a procedure, had a cardiac arrest, went into a coma, and his kidneys failed and he never woke up. It was...well....painful, shocking, jarring, sobering. We never know when it's time. Every second is so precious.

thank God for the hope of Heaven...where we will see each other again, never to be ill or sad again, always to be together and in joyful unity.

    Hope is a beautiful thing.

  5. So sorry for this loss. When you lose someone wonderful, you know in your heart that it's not just their friends and family that are without them- the world's a little less bright out there too. My sincerest condolences.

  6. Sorry for your loss
